OUR BELIEFS:
ABOUT GOD
God is the creator of the universe. He is holy, He is compassionate, He is good, He is faithful and He is just. The LORD is sovereign over all creation, all people groups and worthy of all glory, honor and praise. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The triune God of the universe is three and one; co-equal, co-eternal and one God (Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father as God. He lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sin of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to the right hand of God and will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Matthew 1:22 - 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-14; 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13).
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. The Spirit is actively at work in the world to reveal God's presence and holiness, to convict people of their sin, and give an unregenerate heart the faith to recieve Christ as Lord. After new birth, the Spirit resides in every true believer's heart and illuminates the Word of God to them. He provides Christians with power for Godly living and spiritual gifts for ministry (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16: 7-13; 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25).
ABOUT MAN
Man is fearfully and wonderfully made. He was created in the image of God and is the crown of all God's creation. Each person, regardless of age, ethnicity or social status has undeniable, intrinsic worth. Although, due to man's rebellion against God he has become spiritually dead in his sin, selfish, violent, distrusting, blind to the truth and worthy of God's judgment. Without God's grace, man cannot save himself (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8: 3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2).
ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is a gift of God. Fallen humanity is incapable of purifying itself of sin through good works. Without God's gift of salvation, humanity is incapable of entering into the perfect, holy presence of God. Only by repenting of sin and trusting in the atoning, substitutionary work of Jesus Christ on the cross can a person be saved. Salvation is by grace, through faith, in Christ alone. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; 14:6; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; John 10:29; I Peter 1:3-5).
ABOUT ETERNITY
Humanity was created to exist forever. Man will exist either eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be in union with God is eternal life. In God's perfect presence every tear will be wiped away, righteousness will be restored and there will be everlasting peace and love (John 2:25; 3:16; 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; I John 5:11-12; Matthew 25:31-46).
ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is God's Word to all men. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it is inspired by God, it is without error and is the supreme source of truth for Christian faith and living (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 12:6; 119:105, 160; 2 Timothy 1:13; Proverbs 30:5).
